RATTLER GOLF SCRAMBLE

4 – Player, Best Ball Scramble

12:00 NOON Shotgun start:
Make up your own foursome or we can place you on a team.  Each team must use each players drive at least 3 times throughout the 18 hole scramble.  All proceeds that are raised will go to support the Rattler Football and Golf programs.

Registration fee: 
$150.00 for a Single Player.  $500.00 for a Foursome team.

The fee includes:
Green and Cart fees, Range balls, Dinner after round, yardage cards and tees, and five free raffle tickets ($20.00 value).

Prizes:
The top teams with the lowest net score will receive prizes, along with the two longest drive holes and two closest to the pin holes.

Tamarisk Country Club

Located on scenic Frank Sinatra Drive in the heart of Rancho Mirage. Established in 1952, Tamarisk Country Club was only the second 18-hole private club in the Coachella Valley.  An oasis for well-known movie stars, producers, studio executives, and entrepreneurs.  Rancho Mirage Tamarisk Country Club founding members include Hollywood legends George Burns, Jack Benny and four of the Marx Brothers.  Tamarisk’s shining star is its 18-hole par 72 golf course, designed by William Bell.

A History Worth Knowing.

“Tamarisk has the most beautiful greens in the country.” – Ben Hogan

Ben Hogan, one of golf’s greatest players, helped shape the Club traditions as Tamarisk’s first Golf Professional. Hogan’s successor, Ellsworth Vines, was the second golf pro at Tamarisk and the only athlete in history who had been among the top ten golfers and top ten tennis players in the world. Vines not only won a PGA Tour Event, he won Wimbledon as well.

By 1969, golfers everywhere talked about the superior course and its magnificent greens. Tamarisk was selected as one of the four area clubs to play host to the inaugural Palm Springs Desert Classic, which would go on to become known as the Bob Hope Desert Classic.

In the 1990’s, the Club expanded its golf programs to provide frequent charity and couples tournaments. Today, the legendary golf course has evolved with the times and now we proudly enjoy our newly renovated clubhouse.
